Exploring Bruges north’s heart beat!
Skatepark Tempelhof is located in Sint-Pieters, Bruges, within the city’s Tempelhof sports complex.
It was developed in the mid-2010s as part of Bruges’ plan to expand its outdoor youth facilities.
After a design contest, Concrete Dreams, a Belgian skatepark specialist, won the project.
Their plan featured a deep bowl, a curving snakerun, and a compact street section.
Local skaters gave input during planning and testing, shaping the park’s authentic feel.
Construction wrapped up in 2017, costing around €100,000.
Since opening, it’s become a favorite for skaters, BMXers, and scooter riders across West Flanders.
The park’s smooth concrete and open layout encourage creative lines and continuous flow.
It regularly hosts small events, jams, and youth skate gatherings.
Skatepark Tempelhof sits about 2 kilometers north of Skatepark Entrepot, near Bruges’ station area.
Together, the two parks form a strong local skate network within easy biking distance.
While Entrepot has a more urban, street-style setup, Tempelhof offers bigger transitions and bowls.
Occasional noise or litter issues have been managed through local upkeep and cooperation.
The park remains a social hub and a safe, free space for local riders.
Today, Tempelhof symbolizes Bruges’ growing support for its skate and urban sports culture.
