Ride the Schelde‘s Edge

In the decades past, the banks by the Schelde in Antwerp bore the marks of heavy industry and shipping including warehouses which are still visibile as passing by the port, materials, and a constant hum of work.
Over time the function shifted, the bustle quieted, and the city began to imagine a gentler future for these waterfront edges.
As part of that vision, the skatepark emerged: a place where the old concrete of the quay now meets the wheels and creativity of skateboarders. It transformed from a remnant of industrial might to a canvas for movement, community and play.
Today the park sits as a living link between city, water and the skater’s journey.
A space rooted in place and open to the future, where every session is a little step in the ongoing story of this part of Antwerp.
Antwerp’s Riverfront Playground.
